the local authoraties want to turn one of the parks into a parking lot. there are many issues with their plans.

first of all, kids and toddlers often go to parks to play and meet their friends. can kids sit still at home and stay bored all day? of course not. they always have energy to get rid of and they always feel bored when they are not around their friends. the parents will be busy all day entertaining and caring for their children instead of doing important work, it all could cause major impact on the parents mood and behavior.

try to imagine yourself inside a parking lot. you've been there for quite a while and still, not free spaces. suddenly, you notice the perfect spot and drive there calmly and happily. when you're already sure you'll soon be out of here, another speedy car races you and takes your place. you feel eagered and furious, you immediatly start beeping non-stop and make a huge disturbing noise that could enrage many people. that, unfortunantly, is very common in many parking lots. the load noice and intense race to find an open plot could annoy the people who live near by and disturb them.

i think parking lots are important near malls or attractions, but replacing a local park with one could have major impacts and eager many people.
