היות ויש למאורע שציינת (שסיימת בית ספר) חשיבות גם להווה- שזה הרי מהווה סיבה ל-למה קיבלתם חופשה וכולי אז משתמשים בi have( כי מה שנעשה בעבר עדין רלוונטי עבור הרגע הזה במקרה שלך) ולא בעבר פשוט( דהיינו i just finished), כיוון שעבר פשוט לא רלוונטי להווה ומשמעותו שמה שקרה / נעשה בעבר זהו נעשה וכבר אינו רלוונטי
