philosophical questions. much is at stake, and implications for governments and
policymakers are immense. perhaps today, instead of asking about the causes
of human differences, societies need to invest energy in how to improve all
individuals in need. clearly, causes must be investigated as far as they may
help lead to remedies. but beyond this, we need to reexamine our discussion
about differences between people.
