the female titan isnt female. its as genderless as any other titan and has no actual sexual characteristics; it just happens to look more like a woman than like a man. when a woman becomes a titan shifter or not the titan doesnt have any sexual characteristics, excepting the case of the founding titan (who is too abnormal to count). for instance, weve seen both the cart titan and the jaws titan used by women and they didnt look particularly female. similarly, the female titan used by a man wouldnt look any more male for it.

you should really think of titans as being wetware mechas rather than actual biological organisms. if a male pilots gets assigned a mecha that happens to have thickened plates on its chest, is the mecha going to change its frontal configuration to adjust to the pilots gender?
